Serving as a legislative counsel:

  • Reviewing and summarizing legislation of interest
  • Monitoring legislation as it moves through the process
  • Actively working or lobbying for a particular piece of legislation
  • Extensively working to defeat or amend certain legislation

Serving as general legal counsel to businesses, including advising boards of directors:

  • Reviewing contracts
  • Representing clients in administrative cases and before administrative boards
  • Providing executive director services
  • Preparing corporate documents, including Articles of Incorporation, bylaws, and other documents filed with the NC Secretary of State
